Developed from the F430 road version, the F430 GTC is a racing car designed for the international GT2 class competition. It also competes at the 24 Hours of Le Mans event. When the Ferrari 360 GTC proved to be no longer competitive in the GT2 class, Ferrari replaced it with the more powerful F430 GTC to compete with Porsche. In 2007, Ferrari, with its 430 GTC, won the GT2 Manufacturers? Cup with a clean sweep of all the GT championships that year. It also scored a class win at the 2007 12 Hours of Sebring.
