Why Should You Buy From The Junkie ?

Fast Shipping- We stock what we sell.  We don’t rely on drop shipping, affiliate programs, or third party fulfillment centers.  This means that we can ship most orders received by 10 AM PST the same day.

Free Shipping-  If your order subtotal is $125 or more, your order will be shipped UPS ground free of charge ( in the continental USA ).  All other orders under $125 will be shipped UPS ground to the continental USA for a low $8 flat rate.

We Pay Your Tax-  We are located in California so we normally would charge tax for orders shipped to an address in California. In order to avoid penalizing our valued California customers, we have made special arrangements. For California orders we discount the product price so that when sales tax is added, the total price is the regular price of the item. When checking out you will see the regular price with no tax.

For all other states we do not collect sales tax.

Return Policy-   Before shipment, we inspect each model prior to final packaging to the greatest extent possible.  We do not break factory seals or tape, unless you request us to do so during the checkout process.

It should ne understood that , much like people, all manufacturers of diecast models are imperfect.  There are going to be variations between individual specimens of a given model.  Broken components such as mirrors, antenna, propellers, etc that are loose in the box are not acceptable and those models will be replaced if found to be defective from the factory or broken due to mishandling during shipment.    However, slight variations in paint, tampo printing, or other subjective “flaws” are not grounds for return as a defective model and will be considered non-defective returns subject to a 15% re-stocking fee.

Product  discrepancies must be reported via e-mail or telephone (916-395-4460)within 5 business days of the receipt of merchandise.  A Return Merchandise Authorization  (RMA) number will be assigned to each return. This RMA number must be  marked on the outside of the shipping container.   We recommend that you re-use the original packaging if it is serviceable.  Return box should be completely filled with foam peanuts and there should be a minimum of 2 inches between the model and the outer box on all six sides.

Likewise, slight scuffing or denting of the product packaging is not considered a factory defect given the vast distance  your model has travelled from the manufacturing plant.   If you travelled that distance, you would probably not be in the best of shape either.

The customer is responsible for shipping charges incurred to return defective or non-defective merchandise back to The Diecast Junkie.  There is a 15% restocking fee on all non-defective merchandise. Returned non-defective merchandise must be in the original unopened packaging in order to be eligible for any refund. Broken tape or factory seals are considered to be opening of the box.   Returned packages that have been opened or used will not be processed for refund or exchange and will be returned at the buyer's expense. Any merchandise altered or modified by the customer is not eligible for refund or exchange. Customers with excessive returns will be prohibited from placing future orders.

We feel these policies are fair to all parties.  By placing an order with  us, it is inferred that you have read these policies and are in agreement with them.
