The Porsche 914 was designed as a replacement for VW's aging Karmann Ghia and was originally offered with a VW 4 cylinder engine. The addition of the 2.0 L Porsche flat 6 engine bumped horsepower by 30, but at the penalty of added weight and cost.  Only 3,351 sixes were built making them highly sought after today.
